Seek first to Understand, Then Be Understood:
- Current Week Attendance Data:
- From Mrs. Skeens: Due to a recent life-change for me, I'll be transitioning to my maiden name of Wright. So, if you start seeing Ms. Wright on things coming home from school, I'm still here - I just have a new name. Thanks!
- Parents: Pokemon cards have become a big issue for us here at CES. Our students are becoming very distracted by the cards. Please help us with this situation by keeping the cards at home. Cards may be taken and housed in the office until a parent retrieves them. Again, we need your help to ensure that the cards stay at home. Thanks for your support.
- Is your child missing any coats/sweatshirts/gloves, etc? Well, we have a HUGE surplus in the lost and found. Please remind your child to check for any items that may be missing. Otherwise, we will be donating the items to charity the first week of May.
- We have several students' who have outstanding balances in the cafeteria. Those students' received a letter from me this week. Students' who have a balance will not participate in field day until the balance is paid. If you are having difficulty paying the outstanding balance, please contact Ms. Skeens or Mrs. Lowery so we may help with an alternative plan.
- LAST DAY TO TURN IN LIBRARY BOOKS IS MAY 6. Please make every effort to turn in your library books to Mrs. Weihe. Students who do not return books, work in the library or pay for missing books may not be able to participate in field day.
- Parents & guardians of current 5th grade students are cordially invited to a Parent Meeting at 6:00PM Tuesday, April 30th in MWMS' library. This time will allow parents to meet administrators, learn expectations and ask questions.
- From the BCPS Transportation Department
- FIELD DAY will be the last day of school, May 30. If you wish to volunteer and/or attend, you must have a background check and CAN check on file. Please do not wait until the last minute - background checks take 2 weeks to complete and CAN checks are taking several months. Again, you must have these on file to attend and volunteer.
- KPREP is coming! Tentative dates for KPREP for grades 3 - 5 are May 9, 10, 13, 14, and 15. Please avoid scheduling doctor's appointments or any other absences during this time.
