New Immunization Info for 18-19:
Important immunization changes are outlined in 902 KAR 2:060 for 2018-2019 school year.  Please note the following changes in order for your child to attend school:
  • Effective July 1, 2018:  ALL students in kindergarten through twelfth grade must show proof of having received two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school.  These 2 shots must be given 6 months apart.  Please DON’T DELAY in getting these started.  Students will need to have the first dose before January and the second dose by July 1st.  This is a NEW school requirement.  Therefore, if your child has already been vaccinated, the school will need the certifications showing proof in order to enroll your child for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Students aged 16 years or older must show proof of having received two doses of Meningococcal vaccine to attend school.   If the first dose of meningitis vaccine was received at age sixteen (16) years or older, the second dose is not required for school entry.

Have a great weekend and don't forget to sharpen your saw!

Hello Trailblazer Families:

BE PROACTIVE:
  • School is in session all week!  We are excited to share many exciting opportunities with our students, including seeing 150 of Bullitt East's Seniors walk our halls in their caps and gowns.  We are blessed to have a partnership with Bullitt East and excited to share both in the Senior's excitement and also provide our students with a goal - high school graduation.
  • LIBRARY BOOKS:  Library books were due May 18.  We have 35 books still out.  Please check your child's room, backpack, etc to see if we can locate those books.   Students who have not returned, paid for or worked off the book will not participate in Field Day.
  • Field Day is coming!  Students will need to bring a water bottle, towel and possibly extra clothing for the day.  Due to the late HOT date, we will be having many water events!  (Volunteers may need extra clothes, too!)  Remember, if you are attending or volunteering, you need to have a current background check on file.
