Can you believe that September is almost over and FALL is here?  It seems like we just started back to school and we are one week away from Fall Break!  There have been many challenges so far, but our kids are doing a great job being adaptable and working hard.  

Our students continue to show great strength of character by engaging in our Kindness initiative.  We encourage you to continue to send Mrs. Manion pictures of your children engaged in acts of kindness in the community and at home.  

We have many fun activities coming up in October, check out the calendar notes below and make plans to attend!

As always, we will continue to communicate any bus changes and schedule changes to you through both the remind app, Facebook and Infinite Campus messenger (email).

Today, our students learned about the Constitution, per KDE regulations.  We discussed how the Constitution formed the basis for our laws and freedoms here in the United States and how the Constitution helped support the government that was formed by the Declaration of Independence.  We are excited to share our country's history with our students and hope they learn to love and appreciate our country.

Have you thought about supporting our school in a deeper way?  The PTA is a group of parents who meet regularly to develop programming and fundraising to support our school.  This awesome group of parents meets this coming Monday, September 20, 2021 at 6p in the CES Library.  They would love for you to attend.  If you have questions, please let Stephanie Miller - our president know:  steph82418@gmail.com

Don't forget picture day is coming up on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23!  We look forward to seeing all the wonderful pictures!   And, FRIDAY is HAT DAY!

We had another great week!  Our students are back in the groove of school and we are excited to see their progress so far.  CASE testing starts this upcoming week for English Language Arts with Math coming up in the next couple of weeks.  Your child's teacher will let you know what days we will be giving the assessment.  Please make sure your child is here on time and ready to show us what they know.

PICTURE DAY and HIGH ATTENDANCE day are coming up on the 23rd.  (More information is posted below).  We'll be setting forth a challenge for our grade levels next week!  I know we will do what we can to ensure that we have great attendance on the 23rd.

HAVE A WONDERFUL, LONG WEEKEND!  No school on Monday, September 6, for Labor Day and Tuesday, September 7, for a BULLITT DAY (planning day).  Students return on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 with the doors opening at 8:30a and school beginning promptly at 9:00a.  Enjoy this time and make lots of memories!

Your child's teacher will let you know the dates we will be taking this assessment.  Please make sure your child is here, on time and ready to show us what they know.

PLEASE HELP

We are having lots of students who are losing lunchboxes, water bottles and other personal items.  Unfortunately, many times these items do not have student's names written on them and we can't locate to whom they belong.  PLEASE label your child's personal items (jackets/lunchboxes/water bottles, etc) with their name.  We appreciate your consideration!

Boys and girls 1st thru 5th grades join now! We will be camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, making smores, playing sports, learning archery, shooting bb guns, and even building our own racecars!
