Hello CES Families:

We had an INCREDIBLY short week!  I hope you all have had a wonderful time with family and were able to celebrate how Thankful you are for all our blessings.

As we end November and enter December, we have so many activities coming up!  Our annual WINTERFEST is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9.  More information will come home soon about that!

Also, we are currently in our annual Holiday Food Drive - see below.  We look forward to showering our community with food.  

CASE Testing starts December 1 - 16.  Your child's teacher will let you know what day in particular your child will be taking the assessment.  

Again, school starts back on Monday, November 28 at 9:00a and doors opening at 8:30a.

Hello CES Families:

BRR!  It has gotten very cold outside these past few days.  We are limiting our outdoor recess time, but please make sure your child is properly dressed for the weather.  We have several students still wearing shorts in this frigid weather.  

Next week is a short week - with the Thanksgiving holiday, but we do have school all day on Monday and Tuesday.   We are excited to showcase our Kindergarten students and their traditional Thanksgiving play on both Monday and Tuesday.  

We are so thankful for each and every one of you.  Our students bring us such joy and we are glad to have each and every one of them.  As we enter into Thanksgiving, we hope that you are able to spend times with your families and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Hello CES Families:

The weather has certainly shifted this week!  We had planned on an outdoor celebration of Veteran's today, but ended up having it inside the school.  We thoroughly enjoy visiting with our veteran visitors and honoring them for the service they gave to our country.  Check out our Facebook page in the next day or so for pictures and videos of those who attended.

Thank you all for being patient and making sure that our kids are safe as we navigate through the lack of buses.  Our car rider line is exceptionally long, but we are moving cars through very quickly.  Please remember, sign in on the app after you pass the crosswalk OR tell Ms. Wright or Ms. Jenny your PIN number as you pass.  

Next week, we have to big events - Tuesday evening is another chance to visit the Book Fair after school and on Thursday - BCPS is sponsoring a Family Fun Night.  We encourage you to attend either of those nights and engage with your child.

Hello CES Families:

We have SO MUCH coming up in the next few weeks - I can hardly believe we are already in November and the Holiday Season!  As we move into cooler months, please make sure kids are dressed warmly, just in case they have days we can venture outside during recess time.  Also, just a reminder, please label your child's lunchbox/backpacks.  We have had several turned into the office without names recently.  

Don't forget - this SUNDAY, we move our clocks back one hour!  

Also, Monday, November 7 is a Bullitt Day and Tuesday, November 8 is election day - the school will be closed both days.  Classes resume on Wednesday, November 9 with the doors opening at 8:30a and the day begins promptly at 9:00a.  

BOOK FAIR starts this week!  The following flyer will come home with your students:

VETERAN'S DAY is coming!  On November 11 at 1:00pm, we will have a Veteran's Day parade in our parking lot to celebrate family members of our students' whom have served in the military.  The RSVP was due today (11/4) and we are so excited to share this time with our students.  We will request that students wear red, white and blue on 11/11, to help show our appreciation to those who served our country.
