Hello CES Families:

Happy Friday and our last Friday in APRIL!  We have had a wonderful week, especially our schoolwide trip to the zoo!  Check out all of our pictures on Facebook!

This upcoming week is an exciting time, we are CELEBRATING OUR TEACHERS!  Teacher Appreciation is a time that we let each and every one of our educators know how important they are in our student's lives.  The relationships that teachers form often last beyond the years that they are engaged in learning here - it follows throughout the child's education.  We honor our AMAZING teachers and staff for their love of students and dedication to ensuring that our students are learning and growing.

Just a reminder, there is no school on Friday, May 5.  Please see the note below from Mrs. Weihe about library books and their return.

As always, we hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Ms. Wright

Hello CES Families:

April is zipping by so quickly!  We have many bright days left in this school year and I'd like to remind you of several things.  Please make sure students are wearing school appropriate shoes.  Shoes should have backs on them (please, refrain from wearing flip flops, as these are trip hazards).  Also, please make sure that t-shirts have school-appropriate messages on them.  In addition, monitor student's shorts lengths to ensure that they are long enough (recommended length is fingertip when hands are at your sides).  We do not want to stifle creativity in dress, but just make sure that they are safe and comfortable.

Next week on Thursday, we have our SCHOOL-WIDE Zoo Field Trip!  We have worked very hard to organize this trip and we want to make sure that our students have a wonderful time.  Chaperones, please come to school. We will have you sign in and get a name badge in the gym.  There will be some specific directions for you then, as well.

Last, but not leasts - if you are looking for a fun evening tonight, our PTA is sponsoring a FAMILY FUN NIGHT!  This is RAIN OR SHINE - if it is raining, we will be inside.  Check out the information listed below:

As always, we hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Hello CES Families:

It has been a whirlwind week!  Picture Day, Abraham Lincoln was here and we had an author, Tasha Eizinger present to our students!  And, the weather has been magnificent!  As the school year winds down - we have many important activities coming up!  Our school wide field trip to the Louisville Zoo is on April 27.  Permission slips were due today.  If you child does not have a permission slip, they will be unable to attend.  We will start making phone calls to those who do not have permission on Monday to verify.

We anticipate a wonderful day, but when you take 500+ individuals to the zoo, there will need to be specific organization and expectations.  We are excited to share this time with our students, but please remember - we are representing Crossroads and Bullitt County Public Schools.

See below for some community information -
