Hello CES Families:

We had a great week here at CES.  Next week, we are looking forward to finishing out the first quarter.  The last day of Q1 is Friday, October 7 - and is also dress in one color day for $1, to help support our end of the year Field Day.

Report Cards will come out on October 25 - and conferences will be scheduled around that time, as well.  Please complete the Title I Fall Conference Survey:  CLICK HERE  (This was sent home on Tuesday, 9/27 via email/text and IC inbox - it is due Monday, October 3).

Just a reminder, we are in session ALL next week - students whom are checked out early on October 7 will be an unexcused checkout/tardy (you may use parent notes or doctor's notes).  Any classes that have 100% attendance that day will earn a popcorn party.

Hello CES Families:

What an awesome week!  Our kids did a great job on CASE testing this week!  Students were focused and worked very hard.  Thanks for making sure your kids were here and ready to show what they know!

We had a BUNCH of kids who received POP (Positive Office Props) tickets this week!  We are so excited to celebrate our students every Friday during morning meeting!  Ask your child about how we meet each Friday as a whole school!

This coming week is a bit slower paced, but we are excited to let you know about the PTA hosting a MOVIE NIGHT on Friday, September 30, 2022!  They will be showing HOCUS POCUS 2 at 7:30p.  Concessions will be available.  Please join us, bring your lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy this fun time of fellowship and a great movie!

As always, I hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Hello CES Families:

We had another great week with lots happening around CES!  Tuesday was HIGH ATTENDANCE DAY - Mr. R and Ms. Beaton both had 100% attendance that day and Mrs. Murphy was an honorable mention.  We encourage you to have your children here, on time and ready to learn, every day.  Student learning is compounding and even one day out can result in missing skills.  We do understand that students miss - just let us know when they will be out by calling the office and letting us know.

Today was our ZOODLES assembly - students were able to see ball pythons, a parrot, prairie dog, spider and a tortoise!  The presenter taught our students about the animal's habitats and their food chains - but, the prairie dog seemed to enjoy Doritos, VERY much!

We look forward to next week - our students are starting CASE testing.  Your child's teacher will be informing you of the specific days and times.

As always, I hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Ms. Wright

Hello CES Families:

WOW!  Short weeks often feel very long!  We had a good week, but it was quite eventful.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 is HIGH ATTENDANCE DAY!  Please make every effort for your child to be at school, on time and ready to learn.  Our class with the highest attendance will receive a POPCORN PARTY!

Also, his coming week, we have an awesome assembly planned where students will be able to view and engage with animals that are not native to our area.  The Zoodles assembly is entertaining and teaches kids about different adaptations and all about the habitats that the visiting animals live.  Plus - your child has the opportunity to hold and have a picture taken with the animals (a flyer went home with all that information.

Plus, we are going to starting CASE testing soon - this assessment helps guide our instruction and build our instructional groups.  More information about specific dates will come home with your child or be communicated from the teams.

Also, for students on Bus 2143 - we will continue having a double run.  I'll send out communication regularly, but just be aware that 2182 and 1960 will be picking up and dropping off students.

I hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Ms. Wright

Hello CES Families:

We have had another wonderful week of learning at CES.  Our students are engaging in conversations, teachers are using multiple instructional tools and the kids are engaged in learning!  We are excited to see the growth that they show this year.  Coming up in the middle of September, our students will be participating in the CASE assessment.  We take this assessment three times a year to see how our kids are progressing in the curriculum and the data helps us provide students with innovative instructional opportunities.

As you know - this is Labor Day Weekend.  Please remember, school is closed on Monday, September 5.  The doors will reopen on Tuesday, September 6 with the doors opening at 8:30 and school beginning immediately at 9:00a.

Upcoming Spirit Days - this will benefit our end of the year FIELD DAY by helping us provide activities and bouncy houses for our students.  For each spirit day, children dress up for $1 on the following days:

I hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!
