Congratulations to Parker Foley and Myah Burrell for finishing 2nd in their weight class in the state wrestling tournament.

We had an AMAZING and BUSY first week of basketball games, Book Fair, CASE testing and On-Demand. Our kids have worked extremely hard this week and we are excited to finish out the next week before Spring Break.  

Looking ahead - we have MANY activities coming up through the end of the school year.  I encourage you to make sure your background check is up to date.  If you plan to volunteer or attend our end of the year Field Day on the last day of school (May 20), you will need a background check.  

For those interested - Only one week left to complete the application for the 2022 - 2023 school year at BVLA! The deadline is March 31st.

Hello families - 

Our class basketball games and BOOK FAIR are coming up the next two weeks!  The book fair runs from March 21 - March 30.  The following evenings will be both ball games and family nights:
  • Tuesday, March 22nd 5:00-6:30 Book Fair Open, Grades 4 and 5 Basketball Games (5:30 - 7:10)
  • Thursday, March 24th 5:00-7:00 Book Fair Open, Grades 2 and 3 Basketball Games (5:30 - 7:35)
  • Friday, March 29th 5:00-7:00 Book Fair Open, Grades K and 1 Basketball Games (5:30 - 7:35)

Monday is a special day for CES - it is World Down Syndrome Day and every year, per our tradition, we wear crazy socks to honor our friends who live with Down Syndrome.  Please SHOW OFF your crazy socks!

Friday is CAREER DRESS UP DAY!  We are so excited to see what kids what to be when the grow up!  I can't wait to see if we have any future teachers!

Hello families - 

Don't forget to SPRING FORWARD this weekend!  Also, we have a Bullitt Day on Monday, March 14, 2022, so students have a LONG WEEKEND!  School will resume on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 with doors opening at 8:30 am and school beginning at 9:00 am.



Tuesday also brings time for report cards!  The report cards go LIVE on Infinite Campus on Tuesday morning.  You can access Infinite Campus Parent Portal HERE.

Hello families - 

Hasn't it been refreshing to have some spring like weather this week?  With the change of seasons, please have your child check the Lost and Found at school - we have LOTS of shirts, sweatshirts and coats.  

Track season starts soon - if you have signed up your child, please make sure you sign up for Mrs. Spencer's REMIND by sending the message @cestrack2 to 81010.  

Our Archery and Academic Team are both competing this weekend.  We wish those students the best of luck as they represent CES.

This coming Friday is our day to support the YMCA.  For a $1 donation, your child will be able to wear a hat (wacky or otherwise, but appropriate for school) to school.  We are thankful for the support that the YMCA provides our school and we need to make sure we can give back to them, as well.

As the last quarter of the year begins, we look forward to lots of learning and growing.  Please continue to monitor your child's backpack and agenda for information.
