Well friends, we have made it almost to November!  Our kids had a great day with their Halloween celebrations, Sharpen the Saw and even our monthly fire drill!  Please check out all our Red Ribbon Week activities on Facebook: CLICK HERE

Looking ahead, conferences are scheduled early next week.  If you have not scheduled, please reach out to your child's teacher.  We have great progress to share with you!

As we enter November, I have challenged our staff to do 21 of 30 days of Gratitude.  We hope to flood our social media pages with "Thankfulness" and - please know, we are thankful for our students, families and community.  

Every year our staff nominates and votes on a Teacher of the Year.  This year, for 2022, Lauren Connor will represent Crossroads.  We are thrilled that such a wonderful, caring and dedicated teacher is a part of our school and will be our Teacher of the Year.

Can you believe we are at the end of October?  Next week is School Safety and Red Ribbon week for us here in Bullitt County.  This is always an important time in the life of our district, as we focus on maintaining the safe place that we have established here and we work to ensure that our students have the knowledge to make good decisions when it comes to a clean, healthy life.  Each day next week, we'll be celebrating those good choices - see the flyer below about dress up days.

Students will be able to wear their Halloween costumes on Friday, October 29.  However, students should not wear gruesome costumes or anything that might be scary to our youngest students.  We will continue to require that any snacks/treats that come into the building be pre-packaged.  Again, we want to make this a memorable time for our students, but we must also continue to follow safety procedures for COVID, including wearing face masks.  

Report Cards will be released to parents on Tuesday, October 26.  We look forward to seeing you for conferences, as well.  Teachers should have already scheduled with you or will be scheduling very soon.

WOW!  We had an AMAZING week!  Our students came back from fall break refreshed and ready to learn!  Throughout the pandemic, our students have been eager to learn and we are thankful that they are growing each day.  At the end of the last school year our 3 - 5th grade students participated in a state mandated assessment:  CLICK HERE FOR RESULTS.  We are happy to report that our students were above the state and district performance levels in Reading and Writing, and assessed very similarly to our BCPS and Kentucky peers in Math and Science.  Individual scores will go home with our students next week.

We had a great evening of learning on Thursday night - our family reading night!  A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Shepherd and Mrs. Lowery who made it possible to celebrate reading and provide many activities for our students.

We also started our PTA Texas Roadhouse Gift Card Fundraiser this week.  All orders are due on October 22, 2021.  (See the flyer below).

I hope fall break was refreshing for all and we are ready to finish the first quarter strong.   Friday, October 15 is the last day of the quarter.  Report Cards will be available on Tuesday, October 26 on Infinite Campus.  We will be having fall conferences on either October 28 or November 2.  More information will come home soon.

We look forward to seeing our students bright and early on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.  Doors open at 8:30 am and school starts promptly at 9:00p.

FALL BREAK IS HERE!  Take some time to relax, reflect and make memories with your children.  School will reopen on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with doors opening at 8:30a.  We look forward to seeing our students' back after break!

The end of the 1st quarter is Friday, October 15.  Report Cards will be available via Infinite Campus on Tuesday, October 26.  

As of today, we have been unable to reschedule fall pictures with Lifetouch.  As soon as we are able to schedule, we'll share that date.
