Hello CES Families:

WOW!  We have had a great week!  Class basketball games ended last night and they were so exciting!  Every year, I love seeing how kids improve and learn to work together.  Leadership often is subtle in these moments - students encourage others, build confidence and display teamwork.

Our Spring Book Fair was a great success and we thank you for the support!

Take some time this upcoming week - make memories, take some pictures, relax and enjoy time with one another.  Happy Spring Break!

Last, but not least - picture day is APRIL 10 - the MONDAY that we return.  I'll send a reminder out on Friday, as well!

April 14 - wear RAINBOW COLORS to honor our students who THRIVE with Autism.

As always, we hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Ms. Wright

Hello CES Families:

At MATH NIGHT last week, we had a challenge to see which classroom would have the most attendees.  Congratulations to Mr. Edlin and Mrs. Johnson!  Their classes tied for the most attendees!  Also, three students won door prizes - Izabella Baize from Ms. Unser's class, Madilyn McDowell from Mrs. Johnson's class and Isabella Turner from Mrs. O'Connor's class!  Congratulations!

We have several students competing today in the STATE Archery Shoot!  We are so excited that our team continues to grow and improve.  Go Get 'Um, Trailblazers!

This coming week is very exciting!  We have our Bullitt County STEM challenge on Tuesday evening for the elementary teams.  This is always a fun evening here at CES, we know that the students will work very hard and have lots of fun while doing it!

Our class basketball games start on Thursday!  K and 1 Games are this week and always a great time to watch.  The kids have such wonderful enthusiasm and excitement.  And, these evenings are some of my favorite times, each year!  We do accept donations, rather than charge admission.  The funds go to help us provide materials in our gym for physical education, each year.  Also, the PTA will have the concession stand open!

Hello CES Families:

We hope everyone has been able to stay safe after the storms that we had over the last week.  We know many of you had damage to your homes and lost power for an extended period of time.  Hopefully we will all be able to get back into the swing of things and enjoy a pretty weekend.

We do have Bullitt Days scheduled for Friday, March 10 and Monday, March 13.  Students will not be in school those days, while teachers work and learn at school.  School will resume on Tuesday, March 14 with doors opening at 8:30a and school beginning immediately at 9:00a.

Monday, March 13 is also KINDERGARTEN PRE-REGISTRATION (See flyers below).  We are excited to greet our future Trailblazers, the Class of 2036!

Our spring Predictive Assessment window opens soon, but most of our students will be taking the assessments on 3/21 and 3/22.  Your child's teacher will send home specific times and dates so we can make sure our children are prepped and ready to go.

Spring Class Basketball games are coming up soon!
        K - 1:  March 23
        2 - 3:  March 28
        4 - 5:  March 30
Mrs. Jones has sent home permission slips and specific schedules.  We look forward to seeing you all for these amazing nights!

On Tuesday, March 28, we will have a FAMILY NIGHT for our upcoming BOOK FAIR!  The book fair will be open March 23 - 28 during the school day.

We finally got a date rescheduled for PICTURE DAY!  Monday, April 10, 2023 will be our SPRING PICTURE DAY!  This is the FIRST day back after spring break, but the company's availability was limited. We hope that each student has their bright, shining face ready for our pictures!

As always, we hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!

Hello CES Families:

Stay safe out there, Crossroads!  The winds are very strong this afternoon and I hope everyone stays safe.  Coming up next week - we have Family Math Night - REAL WORLD MATH on Thursday! We look forward to sharing some solid activities that can help shape how kids see math during this fun night.  And, I heard through the grapevine, there just might be cotton candy available.

Since we were out of school on Friday, PICTURE DAY will be rescheduled.  As of right now, those dates have not been confirmed.  As soon as we know, we will post on FB and send out a message with that information.

We know several of our families have had difficulties this past weekend, if you are in need of assistance, please reach out to Mrs. Lowery or Ms. Wright.

As always, we hope that you have a great weekend and don't forget to Sharpen your Saw!
