January is nearing the end and Monday is the 100th Day of School!  As we reflect upon the past 100 days - we have had many challenges, but many more successes.  Our student's attendance was lower in recent weeks, with the winter illnesses hitting us hard.  We're working hard with our custodial staff to make sure everything is sanitized, but we ask you to continue to ask your child to wash his/her hands regularly.  And, don't forget to send in those notes to Ms. Della!

We also have a HUGE amount of coats and clothing in the Lost and Found at school.  if your child is missing any items, have them look at our L&F outside of the gymnasium in the main hallway.

Have a great weekend!  We look forward to seeing your students' next week!

Ms. Wright

Hello Trailblazer Families!

What a WILD and crazy weather week we have had!  Our kids have done a great job engaging with our teachers and staff during our NTI days and yesterday was a wonderful day of learning.

Our classes have been challenged to get 100 100s on IREADY over the course of a month and - we have LOTS of classes that have already attained that goal!  Congrats to Mr. R, Mr. P, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Siegel, Mrs. B, and Ms. Burton!  The classes are working together to achieve this goal and earn a class prize for doing so.  The classes have several options including extra recess/gym time, a popcorn treat, a cotton candy treat, a principal challenge and more!  This has really encouraged our students to do their best on IREADY and we can't wait to see how many 100 100s we get!

We'll be hosting the East End Academic Team Scrimmage on Wednesday, January 24.  Best of luck to our team as they compete!

BASKETBALL:

The girls had tryouts on Thursday and will have a second tryout on Monday, January 22 at 4:00p.  We had 8 girls on Thursday and can't wait to see if we have more on Monday!

The boys will have tryouts on Monday, January 22 at 6:00p.  Please make sure you attend, if you want to play.

Hello Trailblazer Families!

WELCOME BACK!  We had a great 3 days and have hit the ground running!  2024 is set to be another great year and we are excited to share the many activities we have planned with you and your children.

Again, I want to make sure you all know how appreciative we are of all the remembrances, gifts, snacks and treats that were shared with us during the holiday season.  We are so blessed to have a supportive family community.

Just a few reminders, please remember, we do use School Dismissal Manager for our dismissals.  All changes to take-home transportation MUST be updated by 2:30 each day in the School Dismissal Manager App.  If your child is a car-rider, only check in on the app after you pass the crosswalk.

Should we have inclement weather, there will be information that will come from the district, be broadcast on local media and be posted on social media.  More than likely, we will utilize NTI (non-traditional instruction) days for any inclement weather or potentially have delays.  Again, communication will be posted of those days in the above mentioned ways.

Also, please remember to let us know if your child is going to be absent.  There is an automated call from the district that comes out

This week, we celebrated the following students with POP Tickets:    Henry, Molen, Ephriam Hardesty, Maddie Koebel, Jason Brooks, Kinsley Hinkle, David Ferriell, Stephan Wildt, Seth Stansbury, Levi Hall, Xaden McNabb, Audriana Turner, Kassidy Burden

Starting in the next couple of weeks, we will have a boy's and girl's basketball team starting up! (I have to get the coaches hired, first!). WE are excited to share a new activity with our students!  Keep your eyes peeled for more information for grades 4 and 5.  We do have an opening for a boy's basketball coach:  CLICK HERE to see the posting.

As always, have a great weekend and don't forget to SHARPEN your SAW!
