    • LAST DAY TO TURN IN LIBRARY BOOKS IS MAY 6.  Please make every effort to turn in your library books to Mrs. Weihe.  Students who do not return books, work in the library or pay for missing books may not be able to participate in field day.
    • Parents & guardians of current 5th grade students are cordially invited to a Parent Meeting at 6:00PM Tuesday, April 30th in MWMS' library. This time will allow parents to meet administrators, learn expectations and ask questions. 
    • FIELD DAY will be the last day of school, May 30.  If you wish to volunteer and/or attend, you must have a background check and CAN check on file.  Please do not wait until the last minute - background checks take 2 weeks to complete and CAN checks are taking several months.  Again, you must have these on file to attend and volunteer.
    • KPREP is coming!  Tentative dates for KPREP for grades 3 - 5 are May 9, 10, 13, 14, and 15.  Please avoid scheduling doctor's appointments or any other absences during this time.
    • Just a gentle reminder of our dress code.  Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate schools for school.

        • Parents: Pokemon cards have become a big issue for us here at CES. Our students are becoming very distracted by the cards. Please help us with this situation by keeping the cards at home. Cards may be taken and housed in the office until a parent retrieves them. Again, we need your help to ensure that the cards stay at home. Thanks for your support.  
        • Is your child missing any coats/sweatshirts/gloves, etc? Well, we have a HUGE surplus in the lost and found. Please remind your child to check for any items that may be missing. Otherwise, we will be donating the items to charity the first week of May.





        • We have several students' who have outstanding balances in the cafeteria.  Those students' received a letter from me this week.  Students' who have a balance will not participate in field day until the balance is paid.  If you are having difficulty paying the outstanding balance, please contact Ms. Skeens or Mrs. Lowery so we may help with an alternative plan.

        • Eastside Middle School Hosting Basketball Clinic
          Eastside Middle School is hosting boys and girls basketball clinics on April 27 in the Eastside Middle School gym. The clinic times are as follows:

           9 - 10:30: K-2nd grade boys and girls
          11 - 12:30: 3rd - 5th grade boys and girls
           1 -   2:30: 6th - 8th grade boys and girls
          The clinic will cover the following:
          • Ball Handling                      
          • Shooting Fundamentals
          • Offensive Player Movement      
          • Footwork and Agility Drills                  
          • Defense Fundamentals
