For Fifth Grade Parents:

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to Mt. Washington Middle! We know these last couple years have not been ideal, but our key objectives are always to maintain communication and empower our students. In hopes of making the 2021-22 the best yet, there are a few things to navigate together.

We cordially invite you to register for MWMS’ Transition Camp as spots in each of the six sessions for 6th graders are limited. There are certainly enough spots for each of our students, but to fit your family’s busy schedule please register ASAP. Each student will attend just one of six 2 hour sessions. Time together will ease anxiety while creating excitement about becoming a General. Students will get time with their teachers, tour the building, learn about extra-curricular opportunities, have time to practice opening lockers and ask questions. During the session, parents are encouraged to come in with their children to meet teachers and pick up Chromebooks. Parents will not be required to stay throughout the 2 hour session. We ask that you prepare to pay the $35 Chromebook Rental Fee and $20 Technology Fee. You may prepay through MySchoolBucks.com as early as July 15th.

The QR code in the bottom right of this letter will take you to the Transition Camp registration form simply by opening the camera on your smart-phone and putting the QR code in the frame.              You may also find a link on our MWMS Website or go directly to       https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PpD7JjBkt3wHg62TbblWrnDGENogKzfyV1A-4puQwUQ/edit

Purple forms for families interested in our award-winning Band Program have been sent home so if you need one let us know. Band is a daily class so we need to know to secure schedules.

Please complete the checklist on the back of this letter to ensure a smooth school year.

Welcome to the MWMS Family,

Megan Hatter, YSC Coordinator
