Vision:
Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day

Mission:
CES is dedicated to inspiring a community of passionate learners and leaders by setting goals and providing opportunities for success.

Welcome!

Can you believe it is already time to start another school year? We are one week away from the start of the 18-19 school year.  The summer has zoomed by quickly and our teachers have worked very hard in order to be ready for a new year!  Mr. Ralph is a true LEADER getting our building in shape for us to start school.  If you see him, tell him how much you appreciate it.

Tune in to Facebook on Monday, August 6 at 8:00p, Mrs. Skeens will be reading a book about summer vacations and again on Tuesday, August 7 at 8:00p for a back to school book.

If you haven't liked us on Facebook, do so by clicking HERE
We have a couple of new faces joining us for the 18-19 school year -- join us in welcoming them!  (We do have one more teacher to hire, that name will be shared soon!)

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, August 2, 2018:  Kindergarten Orientation:  4:00 - 6:00-
Monday, August 6, 2018:  Grades 1 - 5 Open House -- 4:00 - 6:30p
Wednesday, August 8, 2018:  FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Please make every attempt to attend our open houses.  This is a great time to meet the teachers, pay fees, put money in your child's lunch account, join Infinite Campus or Enews, get car rider tags and much, much more!  We look forward to seeing you!

On the first day of school and every day -- the school will open its' doors at 8:30 each day with instruction beginning at 9:00 each day.  School ends at 3:40p.  Please check the student agenda for information about attendance and how to let us know when your child is going to be absent, what is considered excused and unexcused absences.  Please remember, if a child is late to school or checked out early, he/she is considered tardy.

Please be respectful of our instructional day, we ask that parents dropping students off on the first day exit the building by 9:00a.  We have 170 days to ensure that your child receives the best education, so we start on Day 1!  Thank you for allowing your child to walk to his/her classroom on their own starting on Day 2.  We are working to build leadership skills and independence with all of our students.

As always, please call us if you have any questions 502-869-7400 or I welcome any questions via email julie.skeens@bullitt.kyschools.us  Also, see below for more pertinent information.

New Immunization Info for 18-19:
Important immunization changes are outlined in 902 KAR 2:060 for 2018-2019 school year.  Please note the following changes in order for your child to attend school:
  • Effective July 1, 2018:  ALL students in kindergarten through twelfth grade must show proof of having received two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school.  These 2 shots must be given 6 months apart.  Please DON’T DELAY in getting these started.  Students will need to have the first dose before January and the second dose by July 1st.  This is a NEW school requirement.  Therefore, if your child has already been vaccinated, the school will need the certifications showing proof in order to enroll your child for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Students aged 16 years or older must show proof of having received two doses of Meningococcal vaccine to attend school.   If the first dose of meningitis vaccine was received at age sixteen (16) years or older, the second dose is not required for school entry.
