Important Info:
  • Due to our enrollment dropping by over 30 students, we will, unfortunately, be losing a teacher.  At this point, that person has NOT been identified, but know that it will cause us to make some major shifts in classrooms and schedules.  We will work to ensure that the least amount of students are affected as possible.  Again, we must comply with Kentucky state statute and classroom capacity law.  This change must happen prior to September 15, but we hope to have a plan in place that would start after the Labor Day weekend on September 4.
  • September is quickly approaching!  We have lots going on - please be aware, our parking lot will be sealed and striped on August 30 after school until the end of the day on Monday (Labor Day), September 2.  The parking lot will be closed.
  • Want to find out what to ask your kids how his/her day was?  Check out these 50 questions that dig deeper into your child's learning:  CLICK HERE.
  • September 17 is HIGH ATTENDANCE DAY and PICTURE DAY!  Please help us have amazing attendance!
  • Our PTA is doing some amazing things for our school, including improving the playground and, helping us replace some technology.  They have their first fundraiser starting on TUESDAY!  Check your child's take home Tuesday folder to learn more!
  • Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook and check out our videos - we have lots of stories that Ms. Wright has read for our students.

ILEAD: 8/12 - 16/2019

Vision:
Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day

Mission:
CES is dedicated to inspiring a community of passionate learners and leaders by setting goals and providing opportunities for success.

We have had a wonderful start to school and are so glad to have our students' back with us.  The first three days have gone smoothly and we look forward to a whole week of learning starting bright and early on Monday morning.

Important Info:
  • We had several drills today (fire, tornado, earthquake, etc) and have been working on teaching expectations for those drills and our school.  The students did a wonderful job following directions and getting in and out of the building or safe area with ease.
  • Mr. Bacon, our Bullitt County Public Schools Superintendent, is looking for a group of 5 parents from our school to meet monthly with other parents across the district for breakfast.  These sessions are informational to let our community know what is happening in the school system.  If you are interested in being a part of this group, please CLICK HERE and fill out the form attached.
  • Dismissal:  Please remember, do not sign in early in the car rider line.  Please check in at the crosswalk so your child is in line according to where you car is in line.  Thanks for being patient the first couple of days, but we seem to have made great gains.
  • Girl Scout Informational sessions will be next Friday with sign ups on the evening of August 23.
  • If you are interested in volunteering, please let Mandy Turner, our volunteer coordinator know!
    • Big News Coming Soon about Box Tops!  Check your child's TUESDAY folder for more information.

As always, please call us if you have any questions 502-869-7400.  I welcome any questions via email julie.wright@bullitt.kyschools.us  Also, see below for more pertinent information.

Welcome!

Upcoming Events:

Monday, August 5, 2019:  Grades 1 - 5 Title I Open House -- 4:00 - 6:30p
Wednesday, August 7, 2019:  FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Important Info:
  • Doors open for the first day of school at 8:30a on Wednesday, August 7.  Parents, you are welcome to walk your child to their classroom on the first day, but on day 2, we ask that the students walk themselves.  We will have plenty of folks around helping.
  • Our school day begins promptly at 9:00a, please exit the building so we can start teaching and learning on Day 1.
  • Car Rider Line:  Please do not park in the lot and walk in to get your child.  We have a specific system and need everyone to help us maintain the system.  In addition, you will receive an email from School Dismissal Manager to set up your car rider account (new folks - existing students will use the already established number/app).  Please CHECK IN ONLY at the CROSSWALK in front of the school.  If you check in early, your child comes out prior to your car being in the proper place in the line.
  • Last but not least, we are super excited to have your child in our care at Crossroads.  We look forward to a great year!
